Cllr Andrew Bowles (Conservative)

Cllr Bowles is the Kent County Council member for the Swale East division, which includes Ospringe. His county council responsibilities include sitting on the Cabinet Scrutiny Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Gypsy and Traveller Advisory Board and sitting on the Regulation Committee. He is also Leader of Swale Borough Council, where he is the member for the Boughton and Courtenay ward.

He also sits on the South East England Regional Assembly, is Vice-Chairman of the Thames Gateway Kent Partnership, a member of the Thames Gateway Strategic Partnership, a board member of the Mid Kent Improvement Partnership and Chairman of the South East Rural Forum.

He was born and bred in rural Kent and has a lifetime interest in environmental and agricultural policies.

Cllr Colin Prescott (Conservative)


Cllr Prescott joined Swale Borough Council in 1992 representing the East Downs Ward, which includes Ospringe. He lived in Swale from 1973 to 1982 and moved back again in 1990. His interests include planning and the environment. He is a council-appointed representative on the Faversham Pools Committee and a member of the East Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

He is also a member of Swale’s audit committee and the Faversham Local Engagement Forum, planning committee, scrutiny committee, Swale Joint Transport Board and Swale Rural Forum.
