We are a friendly group of gardening enthusiasts, both beginners and those with more experience. We always warmly welcome new members.

We hold regular monthly meetings in Champion Hall from October to April. There is usually a speaker, with or without slides, but sometimes there is a demonstration or quizzes, as well as occasional plant sales. Meetings usually take place on the second Monday evening of each month except for April, when we instead hold our Spring Flower Show. The date is fixed to suit the date for Easter and the earliness – or otherwise – of the season. Meetings usually start at 7.45pm unless otherwise stated, apart from in December when we hold a social evening starting at 7.00pm. We also hold a calendar of events during the summer months, including a summer show. The spring and summer shows are important events in our programme and are always strongly supported.

The club participates in the Neame Cup gardener’s quiz competition, competing against other societies in home and away rounds. Opposition and venues are drawn each year and when the club is at home, the quiz – a team event – is held on the third Monday of November, January and February with the final in March.

In addition, the club uses the hall for its annual summer show held on the third or fourth Saturday in July.
